m62 mercedes tech's ?!?!?
 

My electromagnetic clutch is going out on my m62, you guys have never resopnded , and now i hear that i need to take out some shimm's ? do you guys know what im talking about ? If so, where are these shimm's, im on it...

ive looked at my clutch many times and i dont know what a "shim" looks like, and im ready to take one ore two out to fix this baby back up to 10psi... :) she droped down to 7psi and its a bit slower

You might get a response if give the model of car. Most folks don't have a clue on m62!! I guess that you are talking about a SLK230 or C230K??
If the clutch is engaged the "kompressor" will be at maximun controlled boost. The clutch has NOTHING to do with boost control as it stays engaged all of the time. Boost on M111 Kompressor engines is controlled by the recirulating air flap & info from the ME computer.
Are you getting a code like P0802??

I have a m62 eaton blower with an electromagnetic clutch that engauges it , i got this blower and bypass valve off of a wrecked SLK...
the problem is that i dont think that the electromagnetic clutch on the blower pully is slipping. I talked to a MB tech and he informed me about these shim's.
