Power Windows...Negative Motor Switch? One-touch conversion

There are two modifications that I'd like to make to my '85 380SL. The first is a "One-Touch" window Up or Down switching and the other being a remote door lock/unlock feature.

This question is for the Auto window feature. Has anyone done this? I found one module that facilitates this need however, it states " This unit will not work with some German cars that have negative window motor switches." Does the 107 use a "negative window motor switch"? If so, any ideas of alternative options?

Bergwerks, the same people who make the first-gear-start module, have a module that does this for 107s. Check out http://bergwerks.com/1_touch_win.jsp.

[No financial interest, etc.]

Craig,

Thanks for the excellent link.

Apparently the module I originally mentioned will not work with most Mercedes.

I was told that on most domestic cars when the power window switch is hit that the current to the window motor is supplied. A permanent ground is in place in this type of circuit.

With the Mercedes and some other Euro cars the switch completes the ground circuit for the motor.
