Looking for some ABS answers concerning a 1988 124 chassis. So, ABS gurus, here is your chance to show your stuff!
If the ABS sensor is disconnected from the rear diff, other than the light coming on, what else will happen? Will the front wheels still activate OK or does the whole system go into default mode? I know the front sensors pick up 96 cycles per wheel revolution but how many does the rear pick up? I'm thinking the same but to pull the rear cover off to count the cuts on the sensor plate is a little harder to do than counting the front ones. Thanks for any input regarding this request. If ABS mil is on then system is off! The rear gear has somewhere around 30 teeth, depending on gear ratio. The gear is mounted on pinion gear & works just like the front ones.
