Plastic door clips W124 HELP
 

Follow up to a previous post. Thanks to all for the helpful info on window regulator and motor replacement.


I am in need of replacement clips for the door panel. The previous owner had really assed things up inside the door and broken several of the U shaped plastic clips that attatch the door panel to the door. It appears that these were stapled to the panel. I have got to replace these or it will never be right. My local dealer can not find a part number and even gave me a photo copy of the diagram and I don't see them either.

the U-shaped plastic that I'm aware of is actually part of the W124 door panel...and not a clip of sorts - from memory these appear to be permanantely secured to the door panel itself

if these things you are looking for are the ones I've described- - and in this case are loose, I'd just hot glue them or plastic weld them back into place

if these are broken off -detached from the door panel and are now gone....you may wish to call the salvage yards for a matching door panel replacement (complete with all the U-shaped items)

of course- if your'e a Monster Garage type- - you could always fabricate U-shaped things yourself out of metal/ or plastic
