Part # conflict / same part has 2 #s?

I have a 1991 190E 2.6 with the Amp for the door speakers.

My amp is part # 201-820-40-14 -- it is fried.

I have found one from a 1992 190, but it is part # 201-820-09-89.

Q1: What gives?
Q2: Will it work as a replacement anyway? The picture looks the same.
