push the mirror foreward from the outside of the car with your hand and remove the torx screw. then pull the mirror back there will be 2 more screws there. it helps to wedge something (deep 12mm socket,etc ) between the mirror and the base of the mirror to relieve the spring pressure to make it easier to remove the last 2 screws. once youve removed all 3 screws the mirror will come free from the door. unplug the wiring and the mirror is removed. leave the socket wedged in the mirror untill reinstallation. of course if youre replacing the mirror assy you will want to retrieve your socket before throwing the old mirror away!;)
