Question 560sel 88 shifter nylon bushings

My shifter has to be pushed to the right in order to start the car.

I will have to take apart the console. Will I be able to access both bushings? Do I access the second under the car?

Thank you

Nick Mendoza

Put it on a rack or lift and inspect the "pivot" points where the rods hook to the linkage. Have someone in the car moving the gear selector while you are watching underneath. You should be able to tell which bushings are missing while watching it. I would inspect underneath first.
