W210 Trans service questiom 606 with 722.4
I am wondering how much fluid is in the torque converter. I am getting ready to do my first trans service on this car and first ever. Any tricks or issues I should know about?
I am planning on using Mobil1 since the dealer does not carry fluid for this application, pulling the plug and draining the pan, doing the TC if there is enough in there to warrent the effort, pulling the pan and replacing the filters - anything else?

Two ways to know volume
If you like to do it the hard way, Just re-measure the volume of the drained fluid by pouring it into an empty quart and reapeat the process until all the old fluid is measured. Ofcourse this is not the best way as your fluid may be low before the drain. Or, look at your user's manual and see how many quarts need for a complete drain. usally about 6 quarts.
