Where do I find out this information?
 

My 1999 C-230K hesitates after a cold start and the transmission shifts roughly from gears 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 during the warming up. I understand there is a bulletin number: 22992 or NHTSA number: 606293 that talks about this, but I don’t know where to find information concerning this. If anyone can shed a light on this subject I would greatly appreciate it. Any suggestion or comment will be welcome.

Looks like the NTSHA web site does not have these for free.

You may get some more problem-specific info on this site, if you re-post and this time give a more specific subject line (for example, something like "Rough cold shifts, '99 C230"). Many of us will skip over generic subject lines ...

Great recommendation. I think of every entry I make here as an "archive" that I or anyone else may possibly want to do a search on in the future.

Getting a subscription to what many of us mechanics refer to as SOMEDATA is a good idea, but before you spend the money check with the reference section at a branch of your local library. Our downtown library has a subscription, and it is free to use.
