Question extender settings.big MYSTERY

there must be someone somewhere who can explain how to set the micro switchs regulating extend and retract modes!!

i have replaced gear wheel .and seat belt extender operates normally without load of belt but on reassembling everything as soon as load from belt extension is felt the extender cycles in and out constantly.

Welcome to the site!

It's a good idea to do a search on the topic. I searched on "seat belt presenter" (which I think is the MB term for the arm which "presents" the seat belt to you) and found a few helpful posts.

I'm guessing it's an 86 560SEC with 250,000km.
