Installing pivital engine

I am planning on installing a pivital engine in my 73 450SL

I think it will work great as long as I can get some universal mounts...
what do you think of my idea?

cool concept, I bet you'd be the only one on the block with a pivotal engine, or state for that matter!! Why not a small block ford or chevy engine? Easy to get parts for and increase horsepower as your needs vary!!

I think P.T. Barnum got it right.

Have a great day,

WHat some guys won't do to get away from the dealer's service department....:D
Looks fascinating, but parts might be an issue if the company doesn't make it.

The concept is interesting. The only question I have regards reciprical mass. It looks to be significantly increased with the pivotal piston.

One other thing that seems curious is a square bore. I've heard of oval pistons before. Wouldn't heat expansion be a problem?

Saw that engine design back in 1996 or 97 in popular science magazine.
They were going to "change" the way that cars were made BUT the reliability of the engine has dis-proved their claims!
Another 2 stroke engine like that is the ORBITAL, also from down under!
