Can someone please tell me what just happened????
Picked up a nail in drivers side rear tire yesterday.Jacked up rear of car last night ,removed tire and took it to be repaired today.Just put tire back on car, started up car and a very large cloud of blue/white smoke came out of the tail pipe plus some oil on the driveway. The engine was shaking so bad that i shut it off.Put car on ramps and found some oil dripping from rear exaust manafold[drivers side].My first fear was a blown head gasket, which i replaced 10,000 mis.ago when i rebuilt both heads.I let car sit for 3 hours, and the problem I HOPE went away.Could this have anything to do with the car being jacked up oll night, and some oil seeping into the cylinders??????

sure sounds like some oil made its way into your cylinders overnight. You would have to jack that thing up pretty high I believe before that would happen though. When you first started the engine, did it turn over kind of slow, maybe like a revolution or two then stop, then fired up? If that's the case then the cylinders were partially hydrolocked with oil.........What doesn't make sense though is you say the oil was dripping out of the drivers side exhaust manifold, which is the side that was in the air.......hmmmm

That would make sense, because the heads usually drain to the outter sides of the engine. If the car was jacked on one side high enough and long enough for a pool of oil to sit on top of a leaky valve seal, it could have caused the problem you describe. I seriously doubt the the engine hydro-locked though. Sounds like some of your plugs were oil fouled.

All of the seals are new. When i started up the car it started very quickly as always.I don't know how oil got into the cylinders.
