Hi everyone, I'm having problem with my 16V when I step on the gas pedal it hesitates then go, I had the car tuned and looked at by 2 MBZ mechanics already (checked timing and replaced - plugs, cap, rotor, filters, EZL and also the mechanic) still can't figure out what is causing my car to hesitate, they mention that it might be my ignition control module (EZL), so I replaced it and still didn't fix the problem any suggestion what to look for, before I bring my car to the dealer....

thanks roger

The air flow sensor will cause this. Is the idle OK and steady when out of gear? Does the deceleratin fuel shut off work? You will know if the fuel management is OK if these things are OK.

Low fuel pressure will cause this. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be a fuel pump with a low output.

Hi Benzmac,

Yes, the idle pretty steady, actually I notice my car hesitate more if I accelerate and deaccelerate and then accelerate..

How do I check the deceleratin fuel shut off
and where is it located?.

thanks roger
