CORRECT part # needed for 190E (W201) euro headlights
hi guys
car is a '90 190E (W201) Okay, so all this time I thought I had the right 6-pin electrical connector for my euros. I got a pair of 6-pin connectors from the dealer, part # 011 545 50 28. They each have the cover connected to the socket (6 holes on it). After searching around I realize the euro connectors are two separate pieces. Here is the info I got: qty (2) - 006 545 80 28 - 6-pin electrical connector, socket qty (2) - 009 545 30 28 - 6-pin electrical connector, cover Are these the correct part numbers for the 190E euro 6-pin connectors I need to install my euro headlights? In my search, I also see that these parts are for the W126 and the W124. What part did I get (the 011 545 50 28 part)? Thanks guys. |

The ones I got for mine ended up being 1 piece. Originally the dealer told me two pieces, the socket and then the cover. But when they came in it was just one. The cover was molded as part of the socket, and it just flips down into place after the wires are in. After work today I can look for the part number.

You'll need 2 of the 003 545 26 26 - pin, connector if you want to hook up the "city lights." There's a 190E Euro install FAQ here, if you want more info:

2phast,
Did you ever hook up the vacuum adjust? On my w123 the right side is vacuum, the left side is no vacuum adjust. I wonder if all of them were like that because I was looking at some other cars, and they have one light hella left, and one light bosch right...Im confused. Where do you grab the vacuum for the switch? Anyone have the part number for the vacuum headlight switch (rosetta dial)?

Check 2Phast's site, the vacuum adjust is well documented there. On the W201's (2Phast has Hellas and I have Bosch) the aduster is on both left and right sides.
I don't have the part numbers for the W123, but for the W201 it's Adjuster Switch: Bosch 0307 650100 041 081 or MB 000 800 0473 Switch Cover (Rosette) A 201 689 01 80 For W124 Owners, I found this site: Euro Light Adjuster for W124 Last edited by MTI; 08-17-2003 at 02:05 PM. |
