1996 SL600 Exporting to Canada. Dealer Parts needed
Helllo. I'm exporting the SL600 1996 to Canada and MB dealer in Canada told me that I need to install the following:
1) Daytime running lights 2) Rear bumper needs to be changed (I found the part number for Canadian rear bumper 129-880-1071) Does anyone knows if I have to change above parts in order to register it in Canada? Can someone help me out with getting a MB dealer where I can purchase the bumper for a REASONABLE price? Thank you Steven |

Absolutely you will need these modifications done. No ifs, ands or buts aboot it. You will also need anchors for baby seats in the back.
http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/rsimp_e.htm Follow this link to find all the idiotic, convoluted nonsense you can stomach regarding your vehicle importation. ANY Canadian MB dealer will give you the same price for parts. |

unless you are immigrating to canada, wherein you are
entitled to bring into the country a tax-free motor vehicle, you might be better off buying your favorite MB locally. apart from the requirements involved, taxes and duties are quite substantial. any anticipated savings is minimal. good luck.
