The sliders for the fresh air vents are no longer illuminated.
Although this is very small problem I would like to fix it. I don't want to take the whole dashboard apart to find the lamp and the CD does not help. Can anyone help me with this one, the car is a 89 300SE (126). |

Rob, you can try this first:
Try tapping or gently banging the vent control wheels, this may bring the lights back to life, otherwise do as advised. This worked on my '89 300E over a year ago. Still going strong.. If this doesn't work, then you'll have to remove the top of the dash to replace the bulbs. ------------------ Jeff L 1987 300e 1989 300e 1987 BMW 325 [This message has been edited by jeffsr (edited 04-24-2000).] |

The lights work again. I had to remove the center console cover. The lamp was fixed in a spider-like plastic structure in the back, on the heater box, took me some time to find it.
