Changing my front flex lines today, I noticed something strange (to me).
I jacked the front of the car and change the right side first because that line was dead.
Proceded to do the left, but the line is seazed, the sun is coming down, so I'll do it later (there is no rush that side is OK). Put the wheel back on, lower the car (some of you will remember that I had a clunk sound on my right wheel!?) well now it's on my left side!!!!
Can anybody explane to me what is going on?

The car is a 1967 250s.......

When you jack up the left side, take a look at the condition of the subframe mount. When the weight is off the mount it will let the subframe hang down a little, unless if it is shot, then the frame will hang down a lot and you'll likely see lots of dead rubber. You might even find you lateral stabilizer broken (mine was), it attaches from the center of the sub frame to the right side mount for the steering damper.

Will take a closer look at the mount but I don't think it's that.
The sound that I ear is more in the center of the wheel; bearing/kingpin!?
Will definitaly look at that lateral stabilizer you are talking about.
I did not see anything broken or "abnormaly" hanging last night.
What "bugs" me, is that the clunk sound as moved from right to left.
Before the jack-up process, the left side was tight when I puled at the top of the tire!

ps; both left & right wheel were of the ground at the same time and down at the same time.

Clunking noise that moved from right to left??? First thing I'd be suspicious of..... the sway bar!!

This is something nobody talks about replacing, but it makes sense to me - as it acts as gigantic spring that stabilizes roll from one side to another..... alot like replacing coil springs, new swaybar can drastically improve handling characteristics.

Would the sway bar be responsable for the car's wondering all over the place on bumpy/grouved road and stable on flat surfaces?

Wandering sounds more like tie rods to me..... increased road noise and sensitivity to bumps sounds more like subframe bushings.

Next time you're poking around underneath, check the sway bar mounts though.
