fuel reserve light
Hi i have a 88' 260e when i start the car or turn the key on the reserve light for the fuel gauge comes on, but when drive the car the light never comes on? I have driven the car to the point of the needle being on the last mark of the gauge and still no light?
What is the normal location of the gauge that the light should come on at? Thank You, Aaron |

The first part of your post shows that the lamp is ok. that is normal. As to the second part...the fuel sender units are notoriously inaccurate. Mine ( recently replaced fuel sender unit) now started riding that last mark on the gauge for a long time before the Yellow lights up the cluster !
As you can see from other posts on the matter, the culprit is normally not the gauge - rather the sender unit |

I have the same problem also, but my sending unit is NEW!!! what could be the culprit???
Do I need to reinstall it??
