A strange center vent problem on a 190e.
 

1987 190e.

I get cold air out the side vents and the outer portions of the center vents with the A/C on. BUT. if I hold my hand where the center vent open/close lever is, I feel hot air. Either side of this lever is cold. No hot air during normal operation without A/C with the same selector button pushed on the controler.

Vacuum valve for the heater is new and is working correctly.
