Congrats on the new position Larry, I'm sure you will somehow find a way to do what you love most and post as much here as you did before, you'll see

The board actually does pretty well at 26.4 kbps. I can keep up pretty well at home - it's not like the posts of interest come in all that fast anyway.

I'm flattered by all the replies. Thanks very much.

Yes, "Treiben bis sie fallen" is a weak translation for "Drive it 'til it drops." BTW, that slogan appears above a picture of my 500,000 KM badge. If I ever get the car back on the road, it's not far from a 1,000,000 KM badge.

Have a great day,

Larry - Congratulations on the new job, and best of luck. I'm sure you will excell in the new position.

BTW, are you going to appoint a successor to remind us all to "change it hot, change it often" and "don't put Freakout-12 in your a/c system"? The place just won't be the same without you around.

Oh, NOOoooooo
You mean you're gonna trade the admiration / respect of your fellow MS.com'ers for some job with great benefits, a terrific salary and other perks?
I can't hardly believe my eyes/ears
I can only say, that you're not the guy I thought you were.....You're much richer than that guy was
Seriously congrats on the change. Great to hear fate has seen fit to send such a blessing your way. Do me a favor, next time you see her(Fate), tell her to send a little something, something my way!

Larry,

I am very happy you found a job and the salary you deserved. Sorry to hear about your struggle in the past few years.

You are a GREAT guy and you have helped many here along with others, I have read your posts and learned few things and saved money as well.

You did this for no compensation, just to help others.
I really believe in what goes around comes around.

I hope you will be much happier and succesful, check in once in a while and you will be missed.

GOOD LUCK

Congrats and good luck! I'll make sure newer members learn to change it hot and often although I won't be quite as eloquent doing so

Larry - you leave behind a great legacy of technical advice which will continue to teach, aid and solve problems for many generations of those new to a/c woes, myriad technical issues and Mercedes arcana. I am one of many here who benefitted greatly from your selfless advice.

Yes, you will be greatly missed, but no, you will not be gone. And if the MBShop server goes down, we know where to go!

The very best of luck to you in your new position.

Thomas.

Larry,

Thanks for all of your expert advice. I shall always remember, "Change it hot and change it often."

I too, will be leaving this forum due to my situation. I don't mean to rain on your party Larry, but I just sold my 1985 190E 2.3 and recently bought a 1991 Acura Legend. As a college student, it was getting too expensive for me to maintain.

I wish all you of well, and I will drop in from time to time. Meanwhile, I am trying to find another forum for Acura that is this helpful and informative.
