Windshield

What is it with the W124 windshield. My wife always comments on the curvature of the windshield, and how it bother her, when she either rides in the car, or drives it. I am oblivious to it now after years of owning the car. I do remember when first driving the car, i noticed curvature at the ends, that were a little distorting.

Anyone else experience this? I know there is no cure for it, just curious if others have noticed.

Thanks as always.

124 windshield

I don't own a 124 series, but I think I know what you're talking about. My Volvo did the same thing as it bent around the corners. That distortion is actually part of the glass-making process and from what I understand, the D.O.T. actually allows a certain amount of distortion on windshields. That alone is surprising when you consider that you're looking right through it. On my car it happened on the bottom corners as it wrapped around by the A pillars.
