can I use 6V H3 on W201 euros?
What is the difference between a 6V/55w H3 and a 12V/55w H3? I think Performance Products is sending me the 6V H3. Grrrrr, a little annoyed. Should I exchange it or just install it? Wjat is the standard voltage ? Thanks.

If you use the 6 volt lamps on a 12 volt supply, they will be extra bright... for a very short period of time! Kind of like a camera flash.

At 6V, the 6V bulb would draw about twice the current as the 12V bulb. At 12V, the 6V bulb will draw almost four times the current, corresponding to 16 times the power consumption! Since these bulbs may be most efficient when they run hottest, I conservatively estimate you will get 20 times the luminance running the 6V bulb compared to the 12V model.
The problem would be in having enough time to measure the improvement before the fuse luminesces and the reflector melts. Steve
