560 M117 Euro motor question

I put in some higher octane fuel today (100) to see how it would run. I put in the gas after running the tank down to reserve, so that I could get a good feel for what the fuel was like. It seemed to be pretty smooth, I put in 3.5 Gallons.

I turned the dial for the timing to 6 from where I had it at 2. (I think I found the marking line, but I am not sure. If someone has some pics it would be nice)

I drove it around a little on the higher octane fuel, then went to the gas station. Put in 8.6 gallons of 91 octane and a can of BG 44K injector cleaner last time I put it in was about 6 months ago.

I put the dial back to 2, I was adjusting the other dial I think for the idle, and I moved it to where it was and has always been at the position "N."

Now the car dies when coming into the driveway, slighly uphill about 10 degrees from horizontal but it seems like only when I let it sit for longer than an hour.

Its never had any idle problems or dying problems before today. The idle if fluctuating around 850-850, usually its at about 750. I didnt move the idle dial besides opening it, and then turning it one complete circle and pushed it back in.

For someone with a euro car let me know of some advise. Maybe I did too many things with the fuel today.

Thanks,
