I've got a recently purchased '84 W460/280GE/auto. that's been running flawlessly -- until today when temperatures first reached into the 90's here. Then, the temperature gauge passed its normal (until today) place on the center of the dial and stayed in the lower 1/3 of the orange zone.
I've got lots of experience with MB sedans, and they never do that -- this G is my first MB that doesn't seem to be able to easily cope with '90's temperature. Do any of you have suggestions? Is there an optional, heavier duty radiator, for instance? In advance, thanks to all. |
Ken, mine did the same. I had to get the radiator cleaned. I removed it myself and the bill was $85.00
