E320 Side Mirror Housing Removal

Anyone out there know how to remove the side mirrror housing on a '97 E320. I've been monkeying with it all day.

I have the touch of blacksmith, and I'm afraid I'll break something off (the car).

Fold it back, look in the end and pop the spring clip loose and slide the cover off.

Joe:
Thanks for responding - do I need to take off the mirror first or can I get the housing off w/o messing with the mirror itself?

Also, when you say fold it back - I'm assuming you mean towards the rear of the car, not towards the hood, yes?

Make sure the mirror is adjusted so it is parallel to the housing so that when the housing is slid off, it doesn't hang up on the mirror.
