95 W124 blew a horn fuse

Had to honk at someone who was acting like a jerk this morning. One toot - then nothing. First time I used the horn since I bought the car! Soon as I got to work I found the fuse was blown. What diagnostic steps should I take? I imagine I should try the horn again with the new fuse.

Maybe I should give my horn some exercise:D .

This was Beck Road. You drive a dingy red Chevy pickup?

Horn

Just used it for the first time. That's a good one. I used mine for the first time right after I turned the key. Maybe you should start practicing using the manual version of the horn.

Update

Good one, connerm.;)

I went through some diagnostics and found a bad horn.

I first disconnected the horns and operated the system to see if it'll blow the fuse. That checked out okay. Dumped out a lot of sand from each horn. Got 12v at each pair of terminals. That was okay. Measured the resistance of each horn.... 0.2 and 0.8 ohms. Plugged in the 0.8 ohm horn -- it worked fine. Plugged in the 0.2 ohm horn -- no sound and a puff of smoke from the fuse (but didn't blow). Bingo! - found the problem.
