Replacing a line fuel
I will be replacing a line fuel on my 380 sl.
Since the original line from the dealer has the fitting bigger than the one in my car, I took them to a hydraulic shop repair and they put the old fittings into the new line. My questions, is this o.k. (safe) will not leak, how much pressure a line fuel takes? Any help will be apprecieted. Thank you Ricardo |
I know we are talking different models here, but I replaced a leaky fule line on my W124 a few months ago.
My only real preparation was to depressurize the system...translation: open the gas cap and let the "woosh" occur. I also clamped down the hose leading from the tank with a pair of vice grips to be sure. I only lost a few ounces of fuel during the installation. |
