I helped a friend put on the drivers side head on his 5 liter engine. After we got the head back on, the car would run very rough, like missing a cylinder. After some checking we pulled the fuel injectors and found there was a continous spray, it was so bad that it hydra locked the engine. We could not turn the crank until we pulled the spark plugs.
We have replaced the fuel distributor with a used one, but are still having the same problem. Fuel pressure is around 120psi with the return blocked off. Any ideas would be great. Thank you. |

I'm not sure what you expect a continuous injection system (KE-Jetronic) to do. Are you sure the cam is turning? Maybe that's why fuel is pooling in the cylinders. The injectors should not spray when the engine isn't turning. The fuel pump relay should take care of that. That's about all I know of these fuel systems.
