Was told today that MB Trouble Service Bulletin 00/57A, dated Nov. '95 indicates that it's best to run oil level midway between full and low mark. Supposedly if you keep it at full all the time, you'll consume more oil, especially if you do alot of highway driving. I suspect the pros on this list with access to TSBs can confirm this. Thanks for your time.

It could be, although I would think that it would consume to the mid point and stop if the bulletin was worded to sound as if you filled only to the mid point it would lower consumption in some way. So I don't see a problem here.
