Electric Cooling Fan Not Starting Up. 560 SEL
 
Hi,

I was in a traffic Jam last summer and the temperature started to climb. It was pushing 115 C. I got out of the car and my auxilary fan wasn't running. Is the sensor on the engine not working. What test do I perform to see if it is the temp sensor on the engine is good or bad?

What year car?? Starting in 1988 the fans use different controls than the 1986-87 models.
Both style systems have 2 relays & one fan fuse.
