THERE IS A VIBRATING NOISE FROM THE FRONT BELT AREA IN GEAR AT PARK. THE NOISE DISSAPEARS ONCE THE SPEED / RPM PICKS UP.
DOES THE TENSIONER NEED REPLACING / REPAIRING OR ARE THERE SOME ADJUSTMENTS THAT CAN BE PERFORMED?

THANKS GUYS.

JULIAN.

I have a 1991 300D 2.5 TD with the same symptoms. It turned out my belt tentioner shock was worn out. It is a very inexpensive part and not too hard to put it on.

It is the shock 9 out of 10 times. It is called the damper. We sell them in Partsshop. You should be able to do this yourself.
