window regulator
Does it matter whether the spring is wound CW or CCW? New replacement regulator has spring opposite to the original.

You should get the regulator with the wire already wrapped and ready to go. I have 1998 E430 and it took me 20min to replace. I had to drill and replace the four rivets that I brought from the dealership. I am not sure if you are talking about the same car or the back or front window. Mine was the back window

Since it sounds like you guys have done this before I was wondering if you had any thoughts on how easy or hard this is to do?
Do I need anything special to remove the door panel or replace the window regulator? I'm handy enough to change brakes and such, but I'm a little shaky when it comes to taking apart my E430. Any advice or instruction you can give would be appreciated. |
