air/pump/replacement
4 a1994,,s/420 is replaceing and air pump ahard to do job,,,,,, and what is the main function of the pump i mean what excactley does the air pump do,,, can any one please tell me thank, s mel dwyer 94 s/420

An airpump is strictly to help reduce exhaust emissions. It helps the catalytic converter, etc.

I suggest that you do a search of this site for "A.I.R." to obtain more information about this expensive pump and whether replacement is really needed.

My previous reply, suggesting a search for the keyword A.I.R. gives poor results. Instead, try a search for the keyword : airpump disconnect.
