diff recondition - advice sought
 

I'm disassembling a diff from the 6.9. has anybody who has reconditioned any diff on a V8 of the era (not just 6.9) had found that the spherical thrust washers which press down on differential pinions are not there?

If they were worn away I would still expect to see some trace of them.
