Does anyone know step-by-step, how to change the injctors and glow plugs on a 1991-1993 300D 2.5. I know how to change them on other diesels, but if you have evr worked on this particular car, you will understand why I am asking for step by step instructions.
Thanks! |

I have not had to replace many of the injectors! The glow plugs are very straight forward. They key is having a semi-deep 12mm socket with a wobble on the end. It is good to have the factory reamer too.

Thank god for Benzmac!!
My car is nailing a little bit, so I changed the filters and then filled them up with Red-line diesel system cleaner. I then changed my oil and added Lubro-Moly Hi-test to the tank, but it still knocks. I was going to run the Lubro-Moly Diesel Purge, but I thought the injectors may be leaking. What are your thoughts on this, I know obviously the Diesel Purge is less expensive, but will it actually quiet the nailing? Other than that the car runs fantastic. It has 165K on it and I have every single record for the car. |
