Mike W.,

'Just checked my records. Yes, I got msg. from you about Fred Robatti. Thanks very much!! The 300D was already with Tim Mize by the time I got your msg. As I said above, I didn't have your address for reply.

Jim Villars - No tool kit with this car, it disappeared long ago with some other owner.

ColMC - Definitely not a torx.

Wilton - Torx wrenches have what is described as a 6 point star, similar to a hex bit star shaped. The first I remember seeing them was on GM cars, usually in the seat belt anchor area, now kinda everywhere.

Larry Bible - Getting mine from snap-on, thought I'd be able to get it off the truck, but not round here.

Mike T.,

'Had an idea that Torx may be one of the star systems; couldn't remember, for sure; thanks for the reminder. Now I can sleep better tonight.

No, 14 mm Allen Head is not that unusual -- it's also the size for the oil drain plug on my M110 engine (that's the common 280 series six of the late '70's early '80's), so any MB tech shop should have it. Anyway, I got my Allen Head socket from the local auto parts place -- a brand called ProtoTool, part no. 5441-14M. Hope this helped.
