1998 E430 W210 Fuel Filter Location

Hello all..
Topic: 1998 E430 W210 Fuel Filter Location

I just pulled the passenger side rear wheel well of to gain access to the fuel filter. Is it the long black housing that I see or is it inside of it or somewhere else..

Thanks

The fuel filter is located in front of the left rear wheel. Remove the access panel and you will find the fuel filter.

W210 Fuel Filter Location

Your saying that it is in front.. Of the driver side rear wheel. I don't see a place for it . There seems to be no place, or should I say a access panel anywhere.

Access panel is a poor choice of words. It is actually a plastic plate that must be unbolted. If you follow the fuel lines you should see them going up in a slot in the plastic plate.

Ok OK, just to clear a few things.. The fuel filter on a 1998 w210 430 is UNDER the car on the drivers side in front of the rear wheel. There is a plastic cover with 3 10mm plastic nuts. The cover is about 18in x 12in large. You don't have to remove the wheel well liner to get to it..

Correct, you do not have to remove the wheel well liner to access the fuel filter. Remove the three plastic nuts and remove the plastic cover and you have access to the fuel filter.

If you have the original fuel filter it has crimp type connectors on the fuel lines connecting to the fuel filter (4 total). I recommend replacing them with the spring loaded self adjusting type. As I recall there were two different sizes used.

You will need to jack the car up and remove the left rear tire to gain access to the fuel filter - unless you are very thin.

As always use caution!!! you are dealing with gasoline.
