Hi,
I just purchased a 2000 V70 XC SE Volvo sports wagon. Its for my wife. I actually love the car..plenty of room..good power..awd. Can anyone tell me of a resource such as Mercedes Shop for Volvo? I have found this site most helpful and was hoping that there would be one for Volvo owners.

www.swedishbricks.com is another source. Lots of good info on the gas models, a bit thin on what I need, the diesels.

I checked that site. It looks like there is a plethera of info on the older cars. I was looking for some specific to my car. Is there a search or anything? I didn't see one.

Dunno, none of the family has a Volvo that new....

I've not looked for anything newer than the 740 series, can't help!

You can try Sweedspeed.com. I know they have a forum for your model, but I don't know how technical they get.

Got one of those 2000 XC's too. Has not needed much as we got it a few months ago after she rolled her SUV....:-)...But the car is solid so far.

My personal set of pointers i.e just my humble opinion... Change the oil regularly 3-4K, flush the tranny (because there is no drain plug on the torque converter) once every other year and keep rotating those tires 3-4K, ALWAYS have it flatbedded if it needs to towed....You do not want the viscous coupling to get damaged...

My suggestions for boards are the same as previously mentioned

A. www. brickboard.com (Not as good as this but not bad either..use search function to narrow down what you are looking for)

B. www.volvospeed.com (Go to repairs/maintainence section...the famous BAY13)

Thanks much for you information. Glad you have a safe car. Sounds like you need it for your gal(ie..the totalls..

).

I love the wagon. I need it to haul around my music equipment and my wife loves to be driving a Volvo..so it works.

Please keep me in mind if you find things that I should be aware of..I am anal about oil changes and rotation of tires.

ps..do you know what is the difference between V70 XC AWD SE and without SE? Anyone?
