I have an '86 190E-16V. How do I remove and replace the front strut boots?

You will have to take out the strut and have the car re-aligned. This will require compression of the spring.

Benzmac,
Thanks for your answer! I'm glad I asked because I thought this job could be done from the top of the strut support without having to remove the bottom bolts from the strut, while holding the spring with the clamping device. |
