MB CD-Rom a bit of a disappointment in that it contains no doc for the transmission. I
looked thru the IMPCO catalog and oddly enough, they too carry no transmission manuals? I've been told that many of the shifting problems these cars have are caused by valves "external" to the tranny. Knowing something about this would be nice. MB never published such a manual. At dealer we use microfiche & WIS computer. There are a few aftermarket manuals but I wouldn't know where you could buy one.

The main problem I've heard with MB trannys is with a B2 piston somewhere that is very easy to change I think. Looking trough the archives should help alot.

MB produced a theory of operation manual that is available at 1-800-FOR-MERCedes. The best books on the subject are done by ATSG (auto transmission service group) and are available here:
