Hi,
This may sound trivial, but is it possible to replace the padding in the seat cushions on a 1995 C280. The passenger's side seat, not backrest part, has become soft and not as supportive, kind of the same way with the driver's side. By the way, the car has the vinyl TEX upholstery. Is this something that can be done by just taking the seats out and replacing the paddings or support within the seats or am I getting in somehting way over my head? Any help would be appreciated. anyways, I thought Mercedes seats remanined firmness for a long time and I have been pretty careful sitting in them. Thanks Troy |

The seat must be disassembled & then padding replaced, a job for the trim shop!

Take the car to a upholstery shop recommended by a MB dealer and have the upholstery shop order the appropriate replacement parts. Then setup an appointment to have it changed out. It should take a couple of hours. About 2 years ago, I paid about $150 to have the driver's seat cushion replaced in my '91 TE. It's been fine since then!
