Vacuum systems for these things are the easy way out. The 600 of the '60's and '70's had power seats (front and rear), locks, sunroof, windows, windshield wipers, decklid release--all of which were not electric, not vacuum, but hydraulic. Now wouldn't that be more fun?

Is there any reason why you can test the vac. system with pressure, say 1 pound or so? That way you could use soap in a spray bottle to spot the leaks. I mean, finding a negative (vacuum) is not easy on a good day.
