There appears to be a type of clear-coat finish on the valve cover on my '95 C280. However, the coating has turned to a brownish color in some areas. What could have caused this?

This is the coating that they use to ship. It is called cosmoline.(sp?)/
You can use a strong wheel cleaner to get it off. ------------------ Benzmac: Donnie Drummonds 1992 500E (very soon I hope 1981 280GE SWB ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN SERVICE MANAGER FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
