I need to know what the number designation of my transmission. I looked all over the tranny and could find nothing. Does anyone know. 7xx.x.???

It is a 1982 300SD. Sorry about that.

It's a 722.303 I think. It's at least a 722.3.

The ID numbers are stamped into the case on a verticle surface right above the pan on the right side (pass side). There will be the part# first then the full trans number. The one I just looked at was like this.

126 270 xx 01 722.400 02 xxxxxx
