Central Locking System Vacuum Pump
Hey all:
Is it possible that if the central locking system vacuum pump is starting to go bad that it will blow its fuse every 5 times or so I lock and unlock the car? Thanks in advance.

anything is possible, but i would start checking the little things first, make sure all the electrical connections are clean and making good contact, also check the contact areas in the fuse box, on mine 1981 240d there were aluminum type fuses in the fuse box that has copper contacts! not a good combination. i removed all the fuses and cleaned all the contact areas and installed new copper type mb fuses....BILL

Thanks for the idea, but all the electrical connections have recently been checked. The fuses are all updated to copper fuses. The fuse just simply blows every few times I lock and unlock the car. What does everyone think?
