I have replaced 5 prong injector relay twice.
Lately its runs ruff on cold start & burns
relay.
I also have lifter noise. I have been told
lifters NEVER go bad. Didn't want to use auto/trans fluid like detroit car fix. Have
used lifter lube w/ no success.
Any help??? Thanks Steve If you can help,
please come and vacation on Orcas island
Washington. My treat.

Lifter problems aren't common but do occur. They are easy to change and relatively cheap.

I'm not sure what relay you are talking about. The one that powers the KE controller is the overvoltage protection relay. Its a common problem, but, it doesn't usually occur twice on the same car as the new relays are improved. If you are burning the fuse I would check your alternator as the OVP relay protects by using a zener diode. It passes voltage over a threshold to ground through the fuse. If the alternator is not being regulated properly, high voltages could quickly blow the fuse.

Also, to add to Steve, the cams do wear and cause a noise. I have replaced 10 or so...You have to check the rear lobes very carefully to detect.

just to back up "benzmac"if you do have to replace the camshaft (which is likely)these have been modified from the original factory fitted item. The case hardening on the cam lobes was improved but because of this the cam followers were also modified so please make sure you are given the modified versions by the parts department.

happy repairs
