Where to get MB Tex or similar (Vinyl)????
I'm looking to recover a plastic interior piece for my 107 in Tobacco Brown. It is presently the wrong color and I'd prefer not to dye it.
It need not be the OEM material but similar in quality and appearance. Reasonable cost is always nice. Does anyone know of a source for the MB-Tex or similar vinyl I can use? Thanks!

I get my material from a place called Michigan Textile in Ypsilanti, MI. It's basically a storeroom where they let you browse through all the material they have. It's amazing how the material is inexpensive. I seem to find anything I need. They always have the right color and texture. Perhaps you can find such a place near where you live.

Thanks for the leads.
MTI, tried your link but it doesn't work. I'll try local and then GAHH. BTW, I thought I had Tobacco Brown but it looks closer to Brazil. Where would I find the color code for the interior? Thanks again!

Bill Hirsch Automotive in Newark, NJ has real MB tex in all three (four?) generations and virutally all colors. Sorry I don't have the phone number handy but they advertise in Hemmings.

Rick -- for some reason World Upholstery's web site is down, but if you at least want some info from them use the email adress below -- I got some good information from Jamie there concerning vinyl dye.

There's another place in Linden, NJ, but the name eludes me now. They have real MBTex in all colors, last I called them a few months ago. Do a search on the board and you should be able to find it. Be ready though...the prices aren't usually cheap for MBTex. I think they wanted about $300 to redo my 300D central arm rest in cream color.
