Instrument cluster problems

1990 300te 4-matic. Last night when I started my car I had a wired hum/buzz sound coming from my dash. The only gauges that worked where the clock, economy, and speed. My brake lights also did not work. I checked and replaced the fuse associated with those just to be sure and it did not help. When you turn on a turn signal, which did work, the noise would disappear until you turned it off. Another thing that is odd, When you start the car there is the dummy feature of you not being able to try to restart a running car, while I was messing with things I found that feature was not working either. Any ideas? Thanks,

Ranger

Never mind, I went back out this morning and what I thought last night in the dark was fuse 5 was really fuse B. Fuse 5 was blown. Should I be concerned that it blew? Or can I blame it on age? Thanks
