Tips for Changing Fuel Lines on 1989 420 SEL
 

I am about to replace two rusty fuel lines; the 2 small fuel lines at the back end by the pumps, specifically the pump to pump and the pump to filter to fuel accumulator lines on a 1989 420 SEL. Has anyone else changed these lines?

Any and all recommendations are appreciated.

I was going to:

1. disconnect battery
2. clamp fuel lines
3. open fuel tank filling cap
4. undo lower fuel line and drain fuel
5. undo and replace upper fuel line
6. replace lower line
7. remove clamps, reconnect battery and replace fuel cap
