I have an 83' 500sl that the brake pad warning light is on. I replaced all of the pads front an back for good measure and also all four of the sensors on the front. I did not find any sensors on the rear brakes. Is there something else I have to do to reset the light or do I have another problem?

You've got a ground somewhere. Disconnect the sensors, see if the light goes out. If so, you've found the problem. If not, then the wiring at one of the wheels is grounded.

Try pushing the button(switches)on top of the brake master cylinder, if your master cylinder has one. Wm. Lewallen Lex. Ky.

The brake pad sensor circuit should have nothing to do with the brake light circuit. The sensors on the m/c have to do with the brake light circuit.
